The Hiatus and the Return - May 14th, 2007

We know that we have been missing in action for the last few months. We had a few setbacks: our computer broke, we were low on funding, but we never stopped working as we introduced our own webcomic "Crouton and Crouton" to fill the void.

We are now finally finished every aspect of Episode 5 and all we have to do is wait for the final sound edit and watch it go up.

Keep an eye out for some bonus footage at the end of episode 5 for those who waited patiently. It has nothing to do with anything, much like Crouton and Crouton, and we would appreciate any feedback that you may have.

Finally, we are creating a new puppet for future episodes, and it is taking time to find a great puppet builder. If anyone out there knows anyone, please contact us on our contact link.

Thank you all for your patience with our episodes and we look forward to hearing from you!

From your friends at Puppet Television!

Episode 5 filming finished! - April 15th, 2007

Crouton & Crouton - February 3rd, 2007

After months of long and hard work we finally have our site fixed! Windows Media Player is up and runnning for those of you that had problems with it. Again, we are sorry for the delay in getting this attended to. Also, you will notice something brand new on Puppet Television and that would be the intro to our very own webcomic "Crouton and Crouton".

"Crouton and Crouton" is a highly successful show that the Chinchilla and thousands of other people love, except for Alessandro Harasshole. He does not quite understand the concept of the show since there is no point to it. It is also important to note that the motto for "Crouton and Crouton" is: We make it a point of being pointless.

We are also adding two more new concepts to Puppet Television: One is the video game/ live action episode which we are still in the midst of creating and the other is a SHHHHHH...Secret!

That is all of our updates for now. We hope that you enjoy the new webcomic. It is accessible by clicking on the home page (Puppet Television logo) and then by clicking on the blue botton titled WEBCOMIC. We would like to thank Brad Hofbauer for his amazing logo design for the link and Tyler Lawson for fixing all of our technical difficulties.

Until next time - Have a good one!

Yikes! - January 25th, 2007

It seems things are going a little slow for Puppet Television. Slower than we'd like to admit so we would first like to apologize for our ongoing delays to our episodes and site. We have encountered a
few problems while trying to put out our "Crouton and Crouton" web comic and also putting out our fifth
episode.
We anticipate to hopefully have these problems resolved within February and are extremely frustrated with the ongoing delays. We strive to do our best throughout this period and hope that our fans and visitors to the site will bear with us.
Again Puppet Television apologizes to its viewers of the site and promise we will try our best to end these technical issues.
Sincerely,
Your friends at Puppet Television.

Updating - January 18th, 2007

We are in the process of updating our site (Fixing windows media/making our webcomic section.)

Happy New Year from Puppet Television! - January 3rd, 2007

Happy belated New Year 2007! To all the people that have taken the time to visit our site or comment on it, to those who have helped us achieve the amount that we have, thank you for a great 2006! We are hoping 2007 is an awesome year for Puppet Television.
We are in the midst of creating new puppets as well as filming our digital shots for the upcoming episodes.
The "Crouton and Crouton" comic is almost as good as done, we just need the final version to upload to our site.
Expect the next episode to be up late January or early February.
Stay tuned for more updates!
Have a wonderful New Year from your friends at Puppet Television!

Fix Ups - Web Comic - and More Random Stuff - December 27th, 2006

YES we know about the Windows Media problem and our web designer will be on it as soon as possible. We know it is not possible to view at the moment in Windows Media Player (so we've been told by our viewers) and we are trying to remedy this. We are also considering a flash player as it is becoming more commonly used as the media player. We'll see what new and exciting routes this will take Puppet Television.

In more exciting news, we have decided to have a web comic featuring "Crouton and Crouton"! For those of you who do not know, "Crouton and Crouton" is the Chinchilla's favourite show. They basically talk about nothing and address topics of little or of no relevance in their show. We feel that this will be a big hit! We are proud to have a great designer working on this web comic. You can check out his work at www.mattradunz.com.

As for off news, Marco thinks the Nintendo Wii is so cool. He's been playing with his Wii all day. He also has been avidly watching the Weather Network all day in search of unchartered land for him to conquer. For some reason, he looks more at Uruguay's weather than Toronto's. (He lives in Toronto).

Well that's all the news for today! Have a good one.

Our Future Episode - Digital Puppets! - December 20th, 2006

That's right! As we have mentioned before our puppets are going digital! Our characters will be featured in a game, but the challenge was which game should we choose? We scoured the internet and came up with quite a few options. We could have done "World of War Craft" but we didn't want to bootleg "South Park". We could have done "City of Heroes" but even though the customization options were great, we wanted to do something a little more different. That's when we found "Secondlife". This is a game where you can take customization to any limit your mind can see: you can create anything you want. We found someone to digitalize our main characters. Even though they will look different from their "real life" counterparts, we feel it will bring a whole new dimension to "Puppet Television". Look for that in Episode 5!

Oh and for all those who are inquiring, don't worry, we'll have a Christmas Episode next year. That's right, everyone, 2007! (Unfortunately, all our characters have been pretty bad in 2006 - who would want to see a Christmas episode where each puppet is segregated in a room with nothing to do? Depressing huh? That's why we are waiting until 2007.)

For real? - December 19th, 2006

It came to my attention that some people may not understand our show. I don't know why as it plainly states in the beginning of EACH and EVERY episode:
"The following presentation has been made for mature adult audiences. THIS FEATURE MAY INCLUDE SCENES OF VIOLENCE, PROFANITY, BAD ACTING OR NO PLOT."
It never fails to amaze me the human need for things to progress in an understandable order. Not very "mature" thinking if you ask me.

Let's say every morning you get up and grab a coffee before work, but one morning the coffee place isn't there. That just messed up your whole day, didn't it? Logically, there is no way that a coffee place would disappear overnight but it did this time, just to PISS YOU OFF. Now you have to find another coffee place that is most likely farther away from your work, which means you have to go to bed earlier to get there in the morning. This does not progress in an understandable order, in the sense that we fail to understand WHY the coffee place disappeared in the first place.

In Puppet Television, we take things to the extreme. There is a generic robot who never gets his own number right. Why? We're not too sure, but the point is YOU shouldn't stress over it. We're producing a show that we hope people think is funny and do not read too much into it. There is actually a storyline present. It's not as difficult as finding Waldo, it's there!

Another question we get a lot of is "Why don't you produce more episodes?"

The answer is money - we have none. This is the epitome of low budget. We're not lucky in the sense that we can offer food to people and still get our stuff done, it's weeks of saving up to make one episode. It's frustrating because we have way too many ideas that we want to implement but we can't due to our low low low budget. (It's really low). For example, we're already on Season 2. (In our heads.)

I read that someone used the word "innovative" to describe another puppet show the other day. I'm just going to take that word and apply it to Puppet Television. We are always trying to experiment with different thoughts and ideas and that is how we came up with the idea to do the Toronto Fan Expo. Plus we have to condense our plots into 5 minute episodes so we don't have half an hour to explain how things are progressing. (Or not, see above.) We are our own puppeteers so we are learning while we are producing these episodes.
So Puppet Television is innovative. INNOVATIVE. Plus we take the initiative to try things other puppet
shows will not.

You may think that we are limiting ourselves by doing 5 minute episodes, but if we had the funding we would be extending the length.

Finally I would like to say that we would really appreciate any feedback so we know where to improve. Without this, Puppet Television will remain stagnant and we do not want that to happen. We want you to know that we believe in our show and will not stop producing more episodes but we need your help by way of feedback.

Thanks so much!

Puppet Television Staff

Surreal humour - December 12th, 2006

Surreal humour is a form of humour, stylistically related to the artistic ambitions of the surrealists, based on bizarre juxtapositions, absurd situations, and nonsense logic. A common element of surreal humour is the non-sequitur, in which one statement is followed by another with no logical progression.
